Dr. Garima Tiwari

Dr. Garima Tiwari is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the School of Law, Bennett University, India. Previously, she has worked as a Law Associate (Faculty Dept.) at the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal. She has a Ph.D. from University of Camerino, Italy and was a visiting researcher at University of Oxford, UK and University of Copenhagen, Denmark. She has an LL.M. from University of Torino in collaboration with United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute, Italy. She did her BALLB (Hons) from National Law Institute University, Bhopal India where she was awarded Pundit Ramlalji Sharma Memorial Award 2007.
Dr. Garima was awarded the 2009 Justice Makers Fellowship’ by International Bridges to Justice, Switzerland on criminal justice reform and was also given the ‘2016-18 Equality Knowledge Research Grant’ award by the Eastern Michigan University, US for research on transgender rights. She has also worked as a Senior Researcher with Lexidale-International Policy Consulting, Cambridge M.A. . Dr Tiwari has several publications to her name and has presented her work at many national and international conferences. She is an avid researcher with interests in gender studies, international law, human rights and comparative law.
